This privacy notice has been prepared in our capacity as data controller, under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform, to explain for what purposes and how we process your personal data.

2. Personal Data We Process
- Identity and contact detailsName, phone number, email address and your preferred contact channel.
- Request and transaction detailsInformation you enter in the quote or message form, the insurance product you are interested in, and your WhatsApp, phone and email correspondence.
- Information needed for quotes and policiesData that may additionally be requested during the quote process, such as national ID number, date of birth, address, vehicle registration and plate details, and home or business details.
- Special categories of personal dataFor products such as health, life and personal accident insurance, health data where necessary for the quote and policy — processed only under the conditions of Article 6 of the KVKK.
- Digital usage dataOnly with your consent, anonymised data on how our website is used via Google Analytics (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location).
3. Purposes of Processing
- Preparing quotesPreparing and presenting an insurance quote that fits your request.
- CommunicationAnswering your questions, requests and complaints, and contacting you through your preferred channel.
- Policy processesIssuing policies, renewal reminders and support during claims.
- Legal obligationsFulfilling obligations under Insurance Law No. 5684 and related legislation, and responding to requests from authorised bodies.
- Service qualityWith your consent, measuring the use of our website to improve our services.
4. Collection Methods and Legal Grounds
Your personal data is collected partly by automated and partly by non-automated means through the quote and contact form on our website, WhatsApp, phone, email and face-to-face meetings. It is processed on the following legal grounds under Article 5 of the KVKK:
- Establishing or performing a contractWhere necessary to prepare a quote and issue a policy (Art. 5/2-c).
- Legal obligationFulfilling our obligations under insurance legislation (Art. 5/2-ç).
- Establishing, exercising or protecting a rightClaims and dispute processes (Art. 5/2-e).
- Legitimate interestResponding to your request and ensuring service quality, provided this does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (Art. 5/2-f).
- Explicit consentAnalytics cookies and other processing requiring your explicit consent (Art. 5/1). You may withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred, limited to the purposes above and in line with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, to:
- The insurance companyThe insurer we act as an agent for, for quote and policy transactions.
- Public authoritiesThe Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBM), the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK) and other legally authorised bodies.
- Service providersSuppliers of hosting, email and communication services. Services such as WhatsApp (Meta) and Google Analytics (Google) may use servers located abroad; such transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.
6. Retention Period
Your personal data is retained for as long as required by the purpose of processing and for the retention periods set out in the relevant legislation. At the end of these periods, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your Rights under the KVKK
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to the data controller you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed,
- Request information if it has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose,
- Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
- Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
- Request deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK,
- Request that third parties to whom the data was transferred be notified of correction, deletion or destruction,
- Object to a result against you arising exclusively from analysis by automated systems,
- Claim compensation for damage suffered due to unlawful processing.
8. How to Apply
You may submit requests regarding your rights, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, in writing to our address above together with information identifying you, or by email from your registered email address to info@sigortaaslan.com. Your application will be concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on its nature.
9. Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files saved to your browser by the website you visit. The cookies and similar technologies used on our website are:
